Curiosity is a basic motivational drive that shapes how and what we choose to learn, and how we interact with the world. My research in the lab is primarily focused on trying to uncover how different forms of uncertainty may affect how curious we are for more information. I am also interested in investigating the role that metacognition may potentially play in mediating this relationship.
Before joining the Predictive Brain Lab, I was a postdoctoral researcher with Sid Kouider at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris, where I used EEG to track and dissociate perceptual, decisional, and metacognitive processing. I completed my PhD in 2016 at the University of New South Wales with Joel Pearson. There I investigated how information is can be processed unconsciously and used to sway our decisions.
