Our brains function like prediction machines. The top-down cognitive information, like prior knowledge and expectations can help us to facilitate processing of the information we receive from the world. However, how this top-down cognitive information affect our perception is still largely unknown.
I am curious about how our perception is influenced by our prior knowledge and expectations, and how this is realised by the brain. To explore this question I will use psychophysics and fMRI techniques.
I obtained my MSc at Center for Cognition and Brain Disorder, Hangzhou Normal University, China. Now I am a PhD candidate at Predictive Brain Lab, Donders institute, funded by Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC).
