I research how visual cortex anticipates upcoming events and facilitates the detection of relevant objects. My research has shown that visual cortex performs 'pattern completion', a process in which a known stimulus sequence is generated from partial input only. I am interested in how visual areas and other memory-related areas like the Hippocampus work together to perform these computations.

I completed my PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at the Donders Institute, Radboud University Nijmegen.
