I research how visual features in the world around us are represented in the brain. I am interested in the functions performed by different visual brain areas to generate our visual perception of the world, and how these areas can be influenced by top-down processes such as attention or contextual inference.

I completed my PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging at the University of York, where I studied how shape and curvature are processed in the brain using psychophysical, fMRI and brain stimulation methods. Now I am a post doc in the Predictive Brain Lab, where I research top-down influences on visual perception, and how these influences effect processing within cortical layers of visual cortex using ultra-high field fMRI.
