I am fascinated by how the brain constructs an understanding of the world and interested in exploring methodological ways to disentangle its encoding. Vision, in particular, strikes me as both intuitive in experience and elusive in explanation, making it especially exciting to study. Under the supervision of Dr. Mandy Bartsch, I am investigating how the human visual system encodes predictive information within early processing areas. Specifically, we use population receptive field (pRF) mapping and fMRI decoding methods to test whether features of an occluded object are predictively represented in the brain.
I am currently pursuing a Research MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience at Radboud University, after completing a BSc in Psychology with a focus on Brain and Cognition at the same university.
Outside of academia, I enjoy reading, bouldering, biking and boardgames.
