My research focuses broadly on how the human brain learns and uses statistical regularities to predict sensory information. During my PhD, I will investigate statistical learning and predictive processing using behavioral experiments and neuroimaging methods, including MEG. At this stage, I am still exploring the specific questions and aspects of predictive processing that I would like to focus on, and I hope to develop these interests through my research and interactions within the lab.
I hold a BEng in Communication Engineering from China University of Petroleum (East China) and an MSc in Basic Psychology from South China Normal University. During my MSc, under the supervision of Dr. Lu Shen, I used cortico-cortical evoked potentials (CCEPs) to investigate neural dynamics and information flow in the human visual system.
Outside the lab, I enjoy watching TV shows and hiking. I’m still getting used to hiking in such a wonderfully flat country!
